GREEN PARTY   Candidate for the 6th
congressional District.

The 6th district includes parts of Montgomery, Berks, and Chester Counties.


EDUCATION:

B.A. in Human Services, Antioch College.
M.S.S.  Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social  Research.
Certificate in Family Therapy, Hahnemann University.
Certified Responder in Crisis Intervention.
Licensed social worker/family therapist – special needs children
and their families.

EXPERIENCE:

Mother of three, grandmother of one.
Worked odd jobs from unskilled labor to post-master’s professional work running an agency and supervising clinicians

Helped form Women’s Center at U. of P.
Helped form and taught at U. of  P. Free School.

Early member and supporter of Ecology co-op, co-op restaurant, fruit  and vegetable co-op in a liberated building, manager of co-op store.
Have been involved in the social justice, civil rights, women’s
movements and peace action since the early
1960’s.

Served on board of Philaposh.

Former Chair of Montgomery County Injured Workers’ Committee
Served on board of Fellowship Farm.
Former co-chair of Tri-County Inter-Agency Consortium.
Served on committees to work with block grant money for Welfare
Reform in both Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties.
Served on Anti-violence Action Committee in Pottstown.
Member of Kensington Welfare Rights Union.
Member of The Underground Railroad.

ISSUES:

End the war – withdraw our troops from Iraq
Decrease privatized jobs in military
Hold corporations accountable for their corrupt practices
Negotiate disarmament treaties
Take corporate tax rates back to pre-Reagan levels
Roll back tax breaks for those making more than $200,000 per year
Tax stock speculation and unearned income
More inspectors for containers in our ports
Protect power plants
Stop funding authoritarian governments

Support real (not corporate) democracy and economic justice in the 3rd World
Make fair trade agreements that benefit all participants

Universal Health Care – join the community of developed countries in providing a universal, single payer health plan for our citizens.
Get the corporations out of the Health Care system.
